Service Description

Come attend to your need for deep rest and relaxation. Befriend your own body and mind with the profound nourishment of conscious breath, gentle movement, and sustained, present moment awareness. This trauma-informed, accessible and invitational practice will support and improve all aspects of our well-being. The afternoon consists of two hours of Restorative yoga,* a half hour tea and snack break**, and a ninety minute Yoga Nidra meditation.*** All levels of experience are welcome, but one must be able to confidently get down on and up from the floor. Please remember to bring your own yoga mat and your favorite mug. All other required yoga props will be supplied, but please feel free to bring comfort items, such as a pillow, eye pillow, extra blanket, and journal. * Restorative Yoga: This relaxation based practice includes gentle, nourishing movements to prepare for comfortable, supported poses. We use, breath gravity and mindfulness to deepen into healing and rest. ** Plant-based tea and snacks will be provided. ***Yoga Nidra Meditation: This accessible, guided meditation systematically settles the nervous system and brain waves into their deepest state of rest. The body rests in comfort and ease while the mind is gently guided through a distinct series of meditative techniques, including refined breath and body awareness, visualization and affirmation.
